Harbor Breeze Cascade fan w/remote

I have recently purchased 4 of the above ceiling fans with remotes for a new house. In 1 of the bedrooms I can control the light from the switch but in the other 3 bedrooms I can only control the light via the remote. Any ideas? Thanks!

Sounds like three of the fans are connected to a constant live wire, and not the switched wire from the wall switch.

How many wires do you have in the ceiling?

I am not sure. It is a new construction if that means anything. An electrician installed the fans but he wasnt sure why one worked from the switch and the others didnt. He expected that none would work without the remote.

How do you control the fan without the remote? You've confused me with your last statement. I agree with TK that the 3 fans are connected to an unswitched hot and your electrician should realize this.
