Installing a universal remote to a ceiling fan
    Hi,
My husband and I are trying to install a remote to an existing ceiling fan.
First obstacle it says that it is not usable with a ceiling at more than a 25 degree angle. We have a vaulted ceiling but not sure of the angle. Why is this a problem.
Second obstacle, my husband doesn't see how the receiver will fit in the cap at the ceiling. It is a Harbor breeze universal remote. Do any brands make a smaller receiver to fit into the cap.
    Thanks,
    Kate

Your two questions have the same answer. The receiver sometimes fits between the mounting bracket and the ceiling, and other times between the canopy and the mounting bracket. If the ceiling is too steep there is not enough clearance for the receiver.
