    Install ceiling fan w / light kit
    I am installing a ceiling fan w / light kit .the fan has a black,white, blue and green wires. The ceiling has black,white ,red , green and ground .there has never been a light installed there b/4. the wall has a separate switch for the light and fan. How do I wire it??

    Should be:
    Fan black to outlet black
    Fan Blue to outlet red
    Fan White to outlet white.
    Connect all greens and bare wires together, and connect to the box.

    If you want the switches reversed, the swap the fan black and blue.

    A "three wire" what? Supply cable? Switch Loop for light and / or fan? Can you help us out a little bit, please?
