Wireing a Celing Fan

I have a Harbor Breeze Ceiling Fan and have no prob with the normal wiring, but when I try to wire the Remote Control in I do not get the proper results.
From the fan white (common) Blue (Light Power) and Black (Fan Power) to the switch Black and Blue to Black, white to white, and Green is (Ground) I have a Red wire coming from the remote what do I do with it?

HUH? Where is the remote?

Is this one of those separate units that sits in the ceiling canopy?
They get wired color for color to the fan, and black & white to the ceiling.
With those remotes there is NO direct connection from the fan to the ceiling.

My guess:

First, there should be a set of three wires that connect to a matching set from the fan, black blue and white. Connect those.

That should leave you with a set of red and white. Connect white to ceiling white, red to ceiling red or black, whichever you have.
