Wireing a Celing Fan

I have a Harbor Breeze Ceiling Fan and have no prob with the normal wiring, but when I try to wire the Remote Control in I do not get the proper results.
From the fan white (common) Blue (Light Power) and Black (Fan Power) to the switch Black and Blue to Black, white to white, and Green is (Ground) I have a Red wire coming from the remote what do I do with it?

stanfortyman Electrical & Lighting Expert Join Date: Feb 2008 Posts: 1,381	HUH? Where is the remote? Is this one of those separate units that sits in the ceiling canopy? They get wired color for color to the fan, and black & white to the ceiling. With those remotes there is NO direct connection from the fan to the ceiling.
