    Hunter fan/light control #99111 problems
I bought 2 of these controls. The package and the instructions both say that it is a dimmer and will work on CFL bulbs. I bought dimmable CFL bulbs but it does not dim. Also, the instructions explain how to "pair" the control with the receiver but it doesn't work. One control controls one room and the other control controls both rooms. I called their tech support and they said it should work. Does anyone know how to fix either of these problems? Thanks for any help you can give me.

When pairing fans and switches in multiple rooms, you must only have power turned on to the receiver you are pairing. If multiple receivers have power they will be paired to one switch. If different breakers control the two fans, this is simple. Turn off the breaker for the fan in the room where switch turns on both fans. Go to the original room where the switch only controls one fan and repeat the programming step of holding down multiple buttons. That should send a new pairing code to that room's receiver. Turn the breaker back on and confirm that the switches only control their respective fans.

If the same breaker controls both fans, you will need to disconnect power to the fan in the room where the remote controls both fans. Turn off the breaker. If the fans were originally controlled by the wall switch, open up that switch box and disconnect the two black wires that were connected together when you installed the remote. Be sure to cap those two wires. If the fan was NOT controlled by a wall switch, you will need to disconnect power to the receiver at the ceiling and cap the power wire. Turn the breaker back on and re-pair the switch and receiver in the room where the switch controls only one fan. Turn off the breaker and restore the connection(s) you broke and reassemble everything. Turn on the breaker and confirm the desired operation.
