Hooking up a cnc miil in my garage
First I have bought a tree cnc mill 5 hp 3 phase
I need info on hooking up the 125 sub panel to my garage
Also I believe I need to install a new 200 amp main panel which is in a bedroom downstairs
The distance from the main panel to the garage is about 70 to 80 ft
I am not sure what kind of wire to use any help would be appreciated

I'm going to ask a few questions to give tk a head start:

    CNC:
Does the CNC need a neutral? i.e. Does need any 120 V that it needs to get from a neutral?

    3 phase:
    3 phase what? 208 V?
Any additional 3 phase loads planned?

    The 125 A sub-panel is a 240/120 V single phase panel?
What loads do you plan to run off that?

    Phase converter:
Is this a 20 HP or 20 KW?
    At what voltage?
Link to spec sheet, if you have one.
Is the output Wye or Delta?

    Thanks for answering
    What I have is a 230 v a.c. 3 phase ,60 hertz 30 amp cnc mill
Since I do not have 3 phase in the garage I bought a 3 phase 220 rotary converter
They say I need a 80 amp breaker
So this is what I want to do
Put in a 200 amp main panel as upgrade
Then put a 125 sub panel in the garage
My main panel is in a bedroom 50 to 60ft away from garage
In the future I may add more machines ,space heaters?
I am curious if I bought the wire myself to run from the garage to the main panel what size would I need
What I was thinking is getting as far as I can then have a electrician hook it up
