harbor breeze fan company

We have had a 52" remote-controlled Harbor Breeze ceiling fan in our home for 4-5 years. It was purchased at either Home Depot or Lowes in Daytona Beach, FL. It is a decorative fixture and moves the air well in our open concept living area ..... until last night. When we tried to turn on the fan with the remote, it would not come on. We're not sure whether it's the remote that's the problem or whether it's the fan itself. Can you help?

When you press a button on the remote does the small red light come on? Check your remote batteries before we look at the receiver or fan motor. Check your breakers too
