Hampton Bay Flexible Track

I bought a flexible track system from Home Depot and within one month of installation the transformer blew. Now my only recourse is to have the track system taken down and replaced with a new one. Is it not possible to fix the transformer separately? I don't want to incur the cost of taking it down and having a new one put in. Would love some insight. Also, if I were to go with a new flexible 5 light system, which do you recommend? Thanks!

Was this the 31'th day of a 30 day warranty? If you can remove the transformer and identify the volts and watts or amps, you might be able to find another one. Radio Shack is DIY friendly and won't ask a lot of questions about model numbers. Just make sure you get at least the amps or higher.

There is a lot of negative junk here about Hampton Bay. Perhaps you might look at the Lithonia products I think HD and Lowes carry. I don't have that much to compare the 2.
