Hampton Bay Fan Clicks

After having three Hampton Bay Reddington ceiling fans installed by a licensed professional electrictian, two of them worked flawlessly but one soon started clicking when it rotated. The clicking worsened until it now clicks on the first rotation, while it's still at slow speed. It doesn't seem to be out of balance. My installer tells me that I'll need to have the fan looked at by a local ceiling fan specialist (expensive). Any ideas?

Re: Hampton Bay Fan Clicks

Sounds like the actual motor is out of alignment inside of the motor housing. Take the fan back and exchange it for another. Suggest staying away from Hampton Bay fans. They are Home Depots house impot brand. They offer no support of any kind. Stay name brand ie; Casablanca. If you have a problem they back up their products.
