Hampton Bay Ceiling Remote Trouble

I have a new hampton bay ceiling fan that was installed in my new home. It has worked great for 6 months but now the remote will not turn on or off the light but still works for turning the fan on and changing speed just fine. It stopped working when on of my bulbs burned out. How can I fix the light feature?

Did you replace the bulb yet?

Often times when a bulb blows it will short out the receiver. You have to replace the receiver. But since it is a new fan I would exchange the whole fan.

labman agrees: I was very happy to have ceilingfanrepair join and I could let him give good answer to all the ceiling fan questions.
