Hampton Bay 52" Avian fan clicking noise
I purchased two Hampton Bay 52" Avian ceiling fans. Both work fine. However, both make a constant clicking noise when the blades are rotating clockwise or counter clockwise. Any suggestions on how to fix? Do I have a defective product? Thanks for any and all help.

Check and make sure all screws are tight and nothing is bent. Something is connecting. Maybe a wire is in the way of moving parts.

I had this same issue with an Avian I installed. The quality is not that great, so gap between the top and the rotating bottom was off, causing a screw to brush the top cowling. It was already up and wired when I noticed, so I muscled it a little bit and it now clears fine and hasn't made a peep since.

Very good suggestion. I've never owned this particular model myself.

Using 4.5" downrod instead of 12"-Hampton Bay ceiling fan [ 1 Answers ]

I'm trying to install a Hampton Bay-Frontera ceiling fan with the optional 4.5" downrod option instead of the standard 12". It does not appear that the 4.5" rod will fit because of the fan's decorative scroll. Any ideas? Am I missing something obvious?
