Fan and light not working but not remote
I have a HarborBreeze fan, that is not remote-controlled, that quit. The lights worked from the wall switch and the fan from the pull switch. I flicked the wall switch to On and the lights flickered and went off. The fan was still running and I stopped it with the pull switch. Now neither will come on. No sparks, no smoke. No other electrical problems in the room. Could the fan just have died? Thanks for any help !

First, did you check the bulb?

    Second, check the wiring connections.

After about 4 months of use, this began to happen. I would try to turn on the fan (either Low Med or High) and the fan would barely turn. Sometimes it would work - this lasted for about 5 days. Since then, if you try to turn on the fan, you get no response. Now, the light will still turn on...

Hello, we have a Hampton Bay fan and my son dropped the remote and it stopped working. I changed the batteries and that didn't work. Now I asked someone at Home Depot what I needed to do. They instructed me to buy a new remote kit... I did however it came with a little grey box with 3 cords...

Hampton Bay Fan w/ Remote: Light Works, Fan Doesn't [ 4 Answers ]

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere but I couldn't find what I was looking for. I just installed a Hampton Bay Andover fan w/ remote (no pull chains) but the fan won't start. The light fixture works fine (using the wall switch remote) but I can't get the fan going. I tried the reverse...

Ceiling fan remote control coverting to light/fan dimmer [ 2 Answers ]

I am currently remodeling my home and am coming across a major problem that NO ONE seems to have an answer for. I have two ceiling fans that operate via remote control. The rest of the ones in my home are the popular "pull down" chains - and those work prefectly with the new fan/light dimmers...

Fan light kit working but not fan - with or without remote [ 2 Answers ]

I have a Hunter Fan (I think) that stopped working (magically) but the light kit on it works. I had recently removed an identical model fan with light kit out of another room that was working fine when I replaced it with an updated fan. So I replaced that "non-working" fan with the other one -...
