Electrical Outlets

I have two outlets in my bathroom that supports a washer and dryer. One out is a reset outlet and the other is a normal standard outlet. I replaced both and only the reset outlet is working. How come the standed outlet has no power? The white and black wires are connected correctly.

The outlet with the reset button is probably a GFI. The black and white hot feed input needs to connect to the two terminals labeled LINE. I am assuming there are two other black and whites at the GFI that continue onto the next outlet, and these must connect to the LOAD terminals.Sounds like you have these pairs of wires switched.

Check to be sure the hot feed is connected to LINE, and the other wires feeding the second outlet on LOAD.
