Change 3way switch with Leviton motion detector

I have a 3-way switch setup and want to replace one of the switches with the Leviton PR180 motion sensor but am not certain how their wiring instructions pertain to my current wiring.

I am wired as shown in diagram at this link: Basic 3-Way Switch Diagram

I want to replace the first switch in the circuit, not the second.

There is a lot of discussion on the wiring on this site at this link: http://www.askmehelpdesk.com/electri...180-24265.html

But it seems that either the remote switch is deactivated or the motion detector is replacing the remote switch. I need to replace the first switch and would really like to keep the remote working.
I can wire it easily dropping the remote out of the circuit but I would like to keep that switch.

Help?
Thanks.
