    Ceiling Fan in Reverse
I searched and I see that this was brought up some time ago, but the solutions offered have not worked for me.

I have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan with a remote wall switch. The fan will no longer "reverse" and it is going in the wrong direction. I have tried to switch on and off with the fan "pushed" in the correct direction but with no success.
It will slow down then pick speed back up in the same direction.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance.

Does it operate properly in whatever direction it will run in? What happens when you try to reverse the fan?

The fan works OK on medium and high speeds. When I try to reverse it (hitting the "rev" button), it starts to slow down as it would to reverse, but then starts up (picks speed back up) again in the same direction.

    Thanks-Don

And the fan doesn't work on low speed in either direction? It sounds like you have a bad receiver. However this being a Hampton Bay fan I would take the whole thing back to Home Depot for a replacement under warranty.
