    Ceiling fan light issue
I had a ceiling fan installed less than one month ago and suddenly the light no longer works. I know that it's not a "lighting bulb" problem; I am worried that the code in the remote is not the same as what is programmed into the ceiling fan itself. Is there anyway to find out what the code in the ceiling fan is, if I have the FCC ID and model number?

The answer to your question is no... there is not a way to find out the code from the FCC ID, etc.

The good news (maybe) is that if the remote properly controls the fan, then you know the code is okay.

So, if the remote operates the fan, the problem lies elsewhere. It could be something as simple as a loose wire between the receiver in the fan unit and the lights.

If it were mine, I would pull the light kit out of the fan and verify the wires are securely attached.

If you had the fan "professionally" installed, I'd call them back to do the troubleshooting since it has failed so quickly.

Note that there is the possibility that the receiver (or the remote transmitter itself) have gone bad, but I think this is unlikely.

Oh, one last thought. Make sure the lights are not just dimmed all the way down. Press and hold the "light" button on your remote and see if the lights get progressively brighter. This would be the best-case scenario!

    Good luck,
