    Can you run electrical lines in a gap next to a soil stack from a basement
    I would like to update my eletrical on my second floor. To make it easy someone suggested running the line through a gap next to the soil stack from the basement to the second floor. Is that safe and up to code.

    Sure ,that is done often to fish lines in older homes.
