Can I Paint a Baseboard Heater?
I have searched in different forums here, and no thread seen. We are doing some remodelling in our guest room, and I need to know if I can paint the top and face of a 240v baseboard heater?
    Thanks for any advice.

The surface of electric baseboard heat can get very warm, not as hot as the interior element, but hot enough, so any paint you apply will need to be able to withstand the heat.

I have seen EBB painted over with plain latex wall paint, in those apartments that the management company comes in after someone just moved out and sprays everything white, or off white. The paint seems to hold up OK, looks kind of tacky, but seems to work OK.

Electric baseboard heat is very inexpensive, about $30.00 for an 8 footer, maybe worth looking into replacing with new.

Thanks for the quick and detailed answer. I will not paint it, and will look for a replacement that better fits the new décor.
Thank you for your detailed response.
