    Black, red and white electrical wires?
    I have 2 red, 1 black and 1 white wire from ceiling. I am installing light fitting with brown wire and blue wire. One combination works but the switch does not turn light off. What should I do. Please help. Thanks heaps. Ally

    Where are you located?

    Blue and brown on the fixtures indicates the fixture is from the UK or Europe.

    Blue is neutral and brown is hot, and if in UK or Europe it is 220-240 volts.

    What combination did the fixture work but not be switched?
