    Bathroom Vanity Light Height..
    Hello again, everyone! Would anyone please tell me what a good "standard" height is for a vanity light, whether it be a single sconce or a 3-light wall-mount fixture? Any suggestions extremely appreciated! Is there any "rule of thumb?"

    The rule of thumb is to locate the fixture, generally speaking, in such a manner that the face of the occupant will be illuminated directly without any shadows on or around the face.

    Many times fixtures are located so they look good in the room, or around the mirror, or even directed to shine into the mirror, the thinking being to reflect back on to the face.

    A single sconce, if at the vanity, can be mounted approx 6 foot above finished floor (AFF), or. A 3 lamp strip, similar to a theatrical light, is usually mounted directly above the mirror, assuming the top of mirror is no more than 6.5 to 7 foot AFF.

    If you can give me a sketch or even describe the situation with some rough measurements, I can help further.
