3 Electrical outlets and a light not working.
Some time in the middle of the night last night Three of my outlets and the light in my bedroom stopped working. All were fine when I fell asleep. I checked the breaker and it's not popped. I switched it on and off and still nothing. Other outlets and a light on the same breaker are working. Why would this happen and what should I do next to figure out the problem.

I would check the 2 outlets next to each other(One that's working and one that's not)
Could be in a light or switchbox.

I'd suggest you turn off the breakers for your room, take off the plate and haul the receptacle out, take look at the terminals and see if the wires are connected and are tight, the outlets are all connected together so its worth taking a look at.

A few outlets and light switches not working [ 2 Answers ]

Just recently we lost power on several outlets/lights in a section of the house. It tripped when we tried to plug the vacuum cleaner into one of the outlets. Ever since then the power is not coming back. I have checked the circuit breaker and test for voltage with a DMM (with one side touching...

Electrical outlets not working [ 2 Answers ]

I was updating a rental property that I recently purchased and decided to replace the outlets and light switches as they had been painted over many times. Out of the 15 outlets I changed, four are not working and I have no idea why. A couple of them (the ones that are not working) are connected...

Electrical Outlets [ 1 Answers ]

I have two outlets in my bathroom that supports a washer and dryer. One out is a reset outlet and the other is a normal standard outlet. I replaced both and only the reset outlet is working. How come the standed outlet has no power? The white and black wires are connected correctly.
