15 amp GFI recepticle on a 20 amp circuit

Can a 15 amp GFI receptacle be used on a 20 amp circuit wired with 12 gage wire? I understand that it is okay to use 15 amp receptacles and switches on 20 amp circuit breakers wired with 12 gage wire.

Yes, same situation here, you can use a 15 amp GFI device on a 20 amp circuit.
