Marine Coral Supplements hurting Coral Reefs?

Hi, I hope you are doing well.

I recently purchased CORALadvantage, a Marine Coral Calcium Complex. The bottle states, "Each serving contains 1000 mg of natural marine coral from Okinawa, Japan," but also states, "The collection of marine coral sands does not harm coral reefs." From what I understand, supplements with marine coral may hurt coral reefs. Am I wrong? Can someone clearly explain to me why collecting marine coral would not hurt coral reefs? Thank you very much.
