    Why does new female bite male dog
    I have 4 chihuahuas. Kobi, male, 5 yrs; Scooter, male, 3 yrs; CiCi, female, 2 yrs and my newest one is Dixie, female, 5 yrs. Dixie will lick Kobi's ears one minute and the next minute she is biting him. Sometimes he cries but does not respond by biting back. Sometimes he will snap at her but she comes right back. I thought Kobi would be the alpha dog. Sometimes the other two chihuahuas (Scooter/CiCi) will come to the aid of Kobi and chase her away. What is going on? I have only had Dixie for 4 months so I am thinking she is trying to join the pack. Should I reprimand her when she bites Kobi or just ignore it and let them figure it out? Help... Chihuahualover70

    Dixie is trying to establish her status as packleader. You need to be the packleader of all of them. If given time, Dixie will take over, and you will have a real mess on your hands.

    You need to take charge and not let this happen. Have you ever watched Cesar Milans methods of becoming the packleader? There are other methods also, but personally his methods work best for me. If you haven't, you can Google Cesar Millans People Training for Dogs. It's a really good video, and explains how to become the packleader.
