if the dog is pregnant you will know because they will start devoloping nipples in some cases atleast and just put ur hand on the stomache not to hard just give it alittle feel and see how hard/soft it feels..

it most cases itll be fat but tend to be kind of solid. hope that helped

You should make sure that the local animal control officer, vets and the local shelter know you have found this dog. You can look on Petfinders and find the closest Jack russell rescue....

Many many vets will take in a lost dog and at least give it healthcare *like checking to see if she's preggers) and many times find a home with someone they know is suitable.

and the shelter is a good option in many areas where they are no kill.... and being pregnant would not be a problem for them... or for a breed rescue either.

A month after being bred, maybe a little more for smaller dogs, an experienced person can feel puppies. There are ultra sounds and X-rays to be sure. False pregnancies are fairly common. It is entirely too possible somebody knew she was bred and dumped her. They may also have responded to a false pregnancy that way.

I agree on checking with vets and shelters. It is possible somebody is indeed looking for her and may not see your posters. Also, have one of them scan her for a chip. And yes, shelters and rescues will take pregnant dogs. Your shelter should have a scanner and perhaps somebody experienced enough to make a good judgment on her being pregnant.

You may find a rescue near you starting at
