    Starving dog
I have a lab and chow mix. He's 13 years old. He stopped eating 2 days ago. I give him dry food and mix some canned food. Then I gave him his favorite food , chicken. He just won't eat anything. Help!

We had the same problem with a 12 year old springer spaniel. When we took him to the vet he needed his teeth cleaned and we were told to feed him rice and broth until his teeth stopped hurting. Oh, and make sure you offer him plenty of water.

Take the dog to the vet. I have another example of a vet visit curing a sick 12 year dog in the sticky at https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dogs/i...tml#post254171
My Lab will be 14 next month and still going strong.

Anybody that has a dog that doesn't eat, needs to read it.

We have the same problem with our 10 year old dog. If we place food in the dog's mouth, the dog will eat. But the dog will not eat cooked meat or any dog food unless we place it in her mouth. We took the dog to the vet. Blood tests and x-rays revealed no problems. The vet thinks the dog contracted a virus and gave us Netronidazole and Pepcid AC to increase the dog's appetite and reduce nausea.

Weedeater blower starving for gas [ 5 Answers ]

I have a weedeater brand that will run when I pour gas into the carburetor and will sometimes run a little on choke. When I try to open it up it dies. I don't think it is getting enough gas. I took the carb apart and cleaned it and it helped.
