Dach Russell with crooked front legs
Our 2 year old Dacshound and Jack Russell cross is doing well, healthy, energetic, and fun. What has us concerned is that his front legs are so bowlegged and turned out to such a degree that his feet turn completely sideways... in ballet it would be first position. He doesn't seem to have a problem at this time but we wonder how he'll be in the future. He's very strong right now (looks like a Dacshound on steroids) but the legs are so turned out we worry that he may be facing a future with arthritis or tendinitis ? I have read breeder's warnings of Dacshounds that are knuckled over as it is considered a fault. Is that what our little dog has and if so, what can we expect in the future?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Have you talked with your Vet? Had an exam with an X-Ray?
A Vet can explain how to correct it, if possible, with surgery in some cases.
I do wish you the best, and good luck.
