We definitely need minions. I'll be your minion for a week if you return the favor. :)

What do you mean, you are not Canadian? You are a citizen, but I know you are German decent. You have socialized medicine. You will receive Old age security, and CDN pension when you turn 65, even if you leave the country Alty. So why do u say u are not CDN?

I'm not a Canadian citizen Tickle. So I'm not Canadian. I'm a landed immigrant. I'm actually still a German citizen.
I have lived in Canada since I was almost 4 years old, but I never became a citizen.
I can't vote, I can't go on jury duty, I can't get a Canadian passport, because I'm not a Canadian citizen. I'm just a resident. :(

A few years ago I posted my pic, however it did not get rave review from stringer who thought it was... I don't know, not passable and posted as such.
I will be 72 this year, good enough to look like 50, still attractive, still working and busy all the time but absolutely no one will ever see my pic here because of that.

Yes some, not all. But that doesn't make me a Canadian citizen. You posted that I'm Canadian. I can't make that claim because I'm not a citizen. I do live in Canada, I do and can work in Canada, I pay taxes, and I receive some of the benefits of a citizen, but I am not a citizen of Canada, and cannot make any claims to be.
Isn't voting one of the benefits of being a Canadian citizen? Isn't a Canadian passport one of the benefits? I do receive some of the benefits of Canadian's, but not all, because I'm not Canadian.
It's not meant as a slight. I'd love to be a citizen, but it's too expensive for my family right now. I would be proud to call myself a Canadian. But sadly, I'm not.

No worries Tickle. This thread is for people that want to post their pictures, or see pictures of the other members. No one needs to feel as if they have to post a picture. That's not at all the intent of this thread. If you don't want to post a picture, you really don't have to explain why. That's your prerogative. :)
