What a gorgeous baby! I used to show horses, arabs. I don't know what you might be looking for. He definitely looks like a Gideon.

Haha thanks. I seem to think so myself
The place I'm getting him from named him Merlin:S
Im not really a fan of that name for him.
Hes 16 so is he too old to change his name on the passport?
If not, what names do you think he would suit?

Wow he is gorgeous. I am a dressage rider and he would make a great mount.
I am confused though... his name on his passport? Do you mean his registered name?

Aww what a cutie! He looks like a horse I used to ride - Austin. But not as grumpy...
What's his personality? Maverick pop into my head but it may not suit.
    You're a lucky lady!

Can you change the registered name? With dogs, the registered name is subject to some strict rules, and most often isn't the name that the dog is called in normal life. Is it the same with horses?

    Im not quite sure froggy
I know people who have changed the registered name
    Hes a VERY calm horse,
He hacks quietly alone, or with others through fields, bush, and on the road. He is honest, willing, and easily pops over logs and small fences, as well as being the first through frightening or new situations.
Placed 3rd in the open stallion line division at the Royal Winter Fair.Due to circumstance he has been gelded over the last few years. He is good in a group, or alone, easy to work with on the ground or under saddle

No you cannot change a horses registered name. However, owners are not obligated to show the horse under their registered name. I had a TB whose registered name was Witt Closing Speed. But when I showed him he was Speedy.
