You poor thing I know how you feel. If your dog was suffering, it was the right choice. He/she went peacefully. They give the dog medicine that just makes him fall to sleep. Sort of like when a person goes in for surgery. Except the dog was given an overdosage. He didn't feel it.

Im soo sorry. I know how you feel. I put my 13yr old labrador to sleep 2yrs ago and I was beside myself not knowing what to do. It was empty and I felt like a part of me was missing. I found comfort in remembering how he was and all the things we did, and when your ready, maybe a new pal would comfrt you. I waited 3mths before I got my 2 labradors. I couldnt be alone in the house anymore, and I missed having buddies. My first lab was my bud and I will never forget him...You will get through this...I promise

I'm so sorry Ashten! Can you tell us more about your dog? Do you think you can talk about it? It might help to tell us his or her name, and maybe a few stories about her. I know how hard it is when you lose your best friend. Just know that you did the best you could, and your dog was very happy to have had you!

I ONLY WANTED YOU

They say memories are golden
well maybe that is true
I never wanted memories,
I only wanted you.

A million times I needed you,
a million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you
you never would have died.

In life I loved you dearly,
In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place
no one could ever fill.

If tears could build a stairway
and heartache make a lane,
I'd walk the path to heaven
and bring you back again.

Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.
