put dog in kennel

I had to get a kennel yesterday because my one year old dog kepped going through the trash can as well chewing on our shoes( Keep in mind when the trash can is full we empty it. It's not like we don't empty the trash.). My concern is that how do I know I have a big enough kennel for him? I though that if the dog can stand up and turn around in the kennel it would be the right size. Can I be wrong?

No, that is plenty big enough. I am not even sure they need to be that big, but the airlines require that the dog is able to stand up if you ever fly with him. The crate is the best place for the dog when you are gone or asleep. There is more about crates in the sticky at http://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dogs/in...tml#post251802
