puppy with fleas!

I have a 7 week old puppy and she is miserable from flea/some kind of skin irritation. Can any one suggest a remedy? Am told she is to young to put a flea collar on or use a dip. Would appreciate any suggestions

Are you sure it is fleas?
Or is it a skin irritation?

Have you seen any fleas on her?

There are flea treatments (drops for the back of their neck) which can be given to puppies as young as 6 weeks, you just have to read the labels and instructions very carefully.

If you have not seen any fleas on her then it is more likely a skin irritation cased by something like airborne or dietary allergies.

I would be going for a vet check wither way.

Did you just buy this puppy or did you breed her yourself?

Flea collars are completely worthless.

Take your pup to the vet. She should be due for deworming and a checkup. They will also get flea medication. Do NOT use any product made by Zodiac.

If you have not seen any fleas or been bitten then the odds are against fleas being the problem. They're not that hard to see. Check her belly, fleas will be visible in the thin coat. Then call the vet and make an appointment.
