Possible constipation?

For the past day and a half, until this morning, my dog hasn't had any major bowel movements. He was pretty regular before (once on his morning walk and once on his before-bed walk)- it looked like he was trying to go, but couldn't.

I remember reading about how exercise helps their digestive system, so I had him running around the house this morning and as he was running around playing, he just stopped and went to the bathroom in the kitchen (not where I would prefer, of course, but better than not going at all!)

I think it's because of a diet change... we ran out of food for him, payday's not till Friday, so I cooked him a burger and some rice, mixed it up and had fed it to him for maybe 3 of his meals...

I was just wondering... will this work itself out in a few days, or is this something I should be majorly concerned about?

Thanks for your input.

If he doesn't go in a few days, take him to the vet. For some reason, whenever I feed my dog "table food" he seems to get either constipated or get diarrhea. My dog sometimes will stop and go while playing too. I think the excitement is enough to make him go even if he is constipated. I wouldn't worry too much. Once he is used to eating the same stuff, he will probably get regular again. Just keep an eye on him.
