    Pooping puppy
Can anyone tell me why a puppy can go a week without pooping in her cage and then start again? She can hold her pee all day. I'm thinking she has anxiety issues and hates the cage.

Would help if we knew how old the baby is. Sounds like you had her almost trained and then relaxed too much. Tell us more please. Yes she has bonded with you but is now unhappy. You are not doing her any favours by not being persistent. We all have our druthers, but I have never used crates, just unconditional love and persistence.

How old is your pup, how long have you had her and how long is she crated? Pups frequently need to go outside within 45 minutes after eating. Do you feed twice a day and do any exercise ?

She's six months old. Have had since ten weeks old. Crated eight hours daily - but has proven she can hold both bowel and bladder for a straight week. Wondering if antibiotcs from surgery making it worse. Yes we feed 2x/day and goes after meals and plenty of ex. She goes late at night 11pm and can hold b&b all night too. Just can't figure her out. Thanks for the help!

8 hours is a stretch for a 6 month old. Rule of thumb is 1 hour for each month of age. The issue will improve in time and not sure how to advise you since work and school often require folks to be away from home for 8 hours.
