    Mini doxie's back problems?
We recently purchased a three month old mini dox. (we have had her about a week) We live on the 3rd floor of an apartment building. We normally take the stairs that are average in height (not high and not low). Roxy (our pup) has no fear and climbs them with ease, but my boyfriend and I are concerned for the safety of her back and/or if this is not good for it. (especially going down the stairs) Does anyone have any advice? Suggestions? Our vet told us not to allow her on beds, but didn't mention stairs. Are we just over worried parents?

    Thank you

Must be a brave little girl to be doing so well on steps already. The next time you talk to the vet, you might mention the steps. One thing I can say is watch her weight. Can't give you a number for pounds, but here is a great illustrated guide to good weight control for any dog.
