Male dogs growl and jump on my female
I was wondering why male dogs have started to growl and jump on my female she is seven months so I'm guessing she is in season but I cannot see any blood or swelling but she is a cavalier so I have heard that because she is so small I won't always see blood so could it be she is in season they do not jump on her and hump her they just sniff her and growl a bit more

Keep the males, even neutered ones, away from her until she is all through being in season. Females produce hormones and pheromones before the actually discharge starts, which will attract and excite males. Besides a pregnancy her body isn't ready for and puppies we don't need, there is danger of injury and infections from accidental breedings.

If her vulva isn't swelled yet, the vet may still be willing to spay her. If it is, wiping it with a tissue will detect blood that otherwise may not show. Please don't let her get bred.

She may still be in the early phases. It might depend on how you define it. I think conventional thinking is that the season starts when the discharge does. They have behavior changes and the vulva swells before that. As she reaches her fertile period about a week after the discharge starts, don't underestimate her efforts to get to the males or to get loose. There is a common term for a female dog. You may see why it is so insulting if applied to a women, that it is censored here. By the way, if she does accidentally get bred once, that won't stop her from seeking males. Litters of puppies with more than one sire happen. If she gets loose, you may never see her again.
