Lost dog

Hello, I thought I would post on here since I come here often. It's probably a waste of time but worth a try. If anyone is in Austin, TX. that would be the only help. Ill paste from where I posted it somewhere else.

Jenna Try posting it here to, you have to join but it is free,
Pet Finder lost and found section this site gets so many hits a day it would make your head spin, if it was not for pet finder i would be knee deep in Guinea pigs.

Yeah, I looked on there I posted on there also. Thanks for adding it. Sorry for the pessimism, it's been a week and know that each day that goes by the odds lessen. We all miss her greatly but were still trying. I just know that shes such a sweet dog, that who ever took her is getting attached. She's been through alot. She was abused, and has lost her second "master". :sigh: Anyhow, any help is appreciated.

Other things you can try are to call your local and state police department, and hit every animal shelter you can find in a fifty mile radius from your home. Also contact the local animal control officers and game wardens in your area. Is your dog micro chipped, it is very helpful when trying to locate a lost animal, I have all of mine done even the cats that do not go outside.

People are great for picking up and animal that they think has been abandoned and take them home with them, later decide they don’t want them and take them to the nearest animal shelter, mean while the animal is so far from home that putting up poster in the area lost does no good because the animal is 5 or 6 towns over.

This site that I have listed below is called Pet ark, it allows you to search, the first option they give you is scope, this allows you to pick from found, adoptable or stray. It is a good site that we use to list our piggies

The next one listed below is Pet911; you will find the same options on this site. We also list our piggies here which is also a good site.

Good luck, Donna

Others and I occasionally take in likely strays and let the dog guide school evaluate them. The school requires us to hold them 30 days and try to find the owner first. My friend once found a nice yellow Lab and had him almost a month before the owner returned home and found they trusted an unreliable person with their dog.
