My Beagle is pregnant

My 18 month beagle is pregnant & I think is ready to have her pups but seems to be having some difficulty.....How long should her first labor period be & how do I determine if the pups are possibly breeched, or what should I do??

Thanks
Andy

I would go to the library and grab any books they have on breeding. One expert I highly respected always insisted any book was better than none. What you need is beyond the scope of this site. You needed to do so sooner. Among other problems, it is usually accepted that a dog shouldn't be bred until it is 2 years old. I suggest either spaying her when this is all over, or doing some serious study. A good start is the breeding information at American Kennel Club - akc.org If you are going to go ahead, Successful Dog Breeding, by Chris Walkowicz, DMV is a good book to start with.

badams007 agrees: You were well spoken about the issue of breeding such a young dog. Probably calmer than I would have been
