how to walk with my APBT on a leash?

My American pit bull terrier is a joy because he is still 3 months old but is so shy. He loves me and will follow me anywhere but NOT ON A LEASH. its not safe for his sake but how do I get him to let me walk him on a leash?

He just sits right away and doesn't move or budge I try to bribe and reward for move ment but he doesn't move at all.
