how to tell if dogs leg is dislocated

My dog just recently fell when she jumped and she cried alot and her leg is raised up how can i teif its dislocated or broken she walks around on her 3 legs and she sits and when she lays down she stretches out her legs but i know shes in alot of pain

Please take her to the vet. She CRIES A LOT!!!! The leg might be broken.

miss, I hope you have taken wondergirl's advice. If you can see she is in visible pain, she needs to see a vet ASAP. If it is broken and it is not set properly, you are creating some major health issues for her. You cannot properly assess the situation and fix the problem yourself by someone giving you directions on a web site who cannot see what is actually going on. Please, get her into a vet's office today.
