Having trouble with training my dogs.

Hello,
I currently have 5 month old puppy that I am training. He does extremely well with loose leash walking.....on his own. Anytime we walk with my other dog (who is 2yrs old) he acts like he forgot everything. They both seem to pull constantly and ignore any commands. If I have one dog and my fiance has the other they will not walk in opposite directions from each other. The puppy won't walk away from any group...whether it be a person or a dog from what I refer to as his "pack". Does anyone have any pointers?? Should I not walk these two dogs together???
Thanks for the time,
Susan

He is only 5 months old and still has a lot of learning to do. Would you expect a 2 year old child to behave perfectly... they behave sometimes, then turn into little monsters when other kids are around. Keep up with the training, reward good behavior and scold bad behavior and you should have a well behaved dog when he grows up

How does the older dog walk when it is by itself? Does the elder dog pull anyways? If so then you will want to train the elder dog separately so that he/she walks obediently before walking them together. Dogs are social animals and puppies will quickly pick up on the habits and behaviors of the elder dogs around them, both good and bad. If you could get your elder dog to walk calmly it should help set a better example for the puppy.
