Ear Trouble

My dog has been scratching her ears for the last couple of weeks. So i got her some ear mite medicine, and followed the directions to the tee. Only problem is that she still scratches them till thet bleed. They are tick and flea free and if the mite medicine worked mite free. Anyone got any idea what could be going on?

I agree that it would be best to get the ears checked by a vet. It very well could be an infection that is unlikely to just go away without proper treatment. If it is mites then it may take a higher quality medicine used more frequently. My aunt's dachshund pup had to be treated for ear mites and she had to do many treatments over a certain period of time with vet prescribed meds.

Hi! You need to get you dog to the vet. Those medications that some people use that's in stores does not work. I suggest you quit giving those drops to your dog please. The vet can check your dog and give the dog the right treatment to help your dog. My vet has told me that those things you buy for your pets don't work. I know you are trying to help your dog but the best help you can give is get the dog to the vet soon as you can..
