Doxie With Possible IVDD

Hi i have a ten and a half year old dachshund, with possible IVDD, we brought him to the vet this afternoon after the first symptom of his legs not working he couldnt even stand properly. . So after his exam and a X-ray the vet told us that there are no signs of disc damage, so she gave him a steroid shot and some anti inflammatory tablets for his back he is sleeping atm, and was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

Many Thanks

Over time, I have seen some dogs recover from IVDD almost completely, but I have also seen some dogs forced to resort to the use of a doggie-wheelchair.
But if there are no signs on rads, hopefully your pooch will bounce back within the next few weeks.
