I have just discovered that my dogs have been going potty under the deck. The stench of urine is unreal. I thought the smell was the indoor/out door carpet, so we pulled it up only to discover the secret potty. I've rinsed with water, but the smell is still there. How can I sanitize it, make the smell go away, what do I use? Any advise would be great. After the carpet was pulled up, now flys are entering the deck - I know they must be harvesting down there. What can I do?

you may try putting alittle lime over it, but in general time will heal all wounds and dog odors.

if you know you can give it time to dry before the dogs go out on it try javex and water mix. or vinniger and water. i found that worked for me

if all else fails, in an emergency, use lemonade or orange juice

Hello again,
I've applied the lime to my yard and under the deck. I have an exterminator coming to spray for flies (black house flies) that have been obviously breeding under there. At Lowes, I was told that the lime would kill the insects and only cause the chemicals used to kill them to be ineffective. I asked the bug guy before making the appointment and he said lime would not affect his treatment. Does anyone know if this is true?
