My dog wont stop humping

My Jack Russell puppy is 6 months old and I have had him since the day he was born his name is Jack Daniels Sparrow I absolutely love this dog to death and this is really my first experience with a dog being a true companion to me...however he humps any and everybody that he can wrap his little paws around its terrible and incredibly offensive when I have people over and take him places..ie I have a 3 year old nephew..I imagine you can fill in the blanks I don't know how to stop making him hump I have tried everything but he will not stop. I wake up in the middle of the night and he will have latched himself onto my leg over the covers and do it while I'm asleep (im really starting to feel violated!) Please help I love my dog but his urges are really starting to drive me up the wall..

Having him neutered will definitely help.

He's 6 months old, so it's time anyway.
