Dog Whines Alot

Ok I have a german mixed with a bull, and he is about 4 to 6 months i found him on side of the road as a puppy and rushed him to tha animal hosp, be cause he was and very bad condition. So far i have got him to sit and stay for a good min or so but im keeping him out side, while from time to time he will whine and cry for a while and i make sure he has food and water and he has a great dog house i built it myself, what else can i do to stop him atleast a lil bit????

I want to thank you for taking him in. However you need to go further and let him live in the house with you. Dogs are pack animals. They want to be with you. Having a crate for it to live in makes it much easier. Your house and puppy are safe with it in a crate when nobody is around to watch it. I think the more enclosed plastic ones make the best dens.

Much of what you may need to learn to make having him in the house a positive experience is in the sticky, see http://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dogs/in...tml#post251802
