my dog pooped on my mat now it smells . how do i get rid of the odour?

Just wash it using a pet odor neutralizer. But make sure you are not using any ammonia-based products - they are similar to the scent of urine, and it may encourage your dog to pee in that spot.

A cheap trick I picked up from another member of this site was shaving cream, sounds weird but it actually works.
Just put some shaving foam on the spot and leave until it dries, then vacuum or wipe it up. The shaving foam soaks up and draws out the odor and stain, works for urine too.
