Our chiwauwa female almost 5 months old pees everywhere in the house but in the litter box along with the other pets (cats & Dogs). We thought she had caught on after the "BAD DOG" scoldings and then we see her doing her thing right in front of us every so often. This is our first chiwauwa and after talking with other Chiwauwa owners, we have come to the conclusion that that breed seems to be stupid or just can't comprehend what is required by these owners as well as us....is this a fact??
Appreciate any help that can be given us.
P.S.
She never does #2 anywhere but in the litter box or outside!
Thanks again

I have a friend who had the same problem It turned out all that she needed was a seperate "dog only" litter box. Her chihuaua wanted her own scent in her own place. Try this and see if it helps. Good luck!!

FYI no dog breed is "stupid" its the training they get. so i dont think you should be calling any dog "Stupid"

I wouldn't say they are 'stupid' jut very hard to toilet train, a lot of smaller breeds are.

At 5 months old he is still learning so you can expect a few accidents, just keep perservering.
When you catch him say "BAD BOY" like you have been and make sure you always pick him up and put him where you want him to urinate.

When he does urinate in the right place make sure you praise him like crazy, make him think he has just done the best thing in the world!

Just remember, they are like little kids as this stage, they do respond to punishment (just the "bad boy" in a grumpy voice, not hitting!) but I have found that most dogs will respond better to positive reinforcement (given treats and praise when doing the right thing)
