My 16 month old Dachshund will not eat his food.
He was eating his new dry food great for about 2 months then suddenly stopped. I know he is hungry as he begs terribly for the food I am eating. I do feed him "treats", dog raw hides and peanut butter/banana mixtures. For awhile he would eat his food if I mixed in a dog treat or mashed banana but now that doesn't even interest him. My husband does feed him human food and he eats it right up no problem. He is not over weight at all. We've tried taking his food away but then when we eat, he begs like he is starving and when we give him his bowl back, he sniffs it and then walks away. I would say this started about 4 weeks ago. Right about the same time I started giving him raw beef bones as a treat, could this have tainted him against dog food?

Do you think this is something medical or is he just spoiled with all the special food he gets?
