This is not a case of waiting to see! You need to get your dog to the vet immediately! This could be very serious, and you don't want to wait. I don't know where you live, but you need to do something right away. This could possibly kill your dog without immediate attention.

Or, not. When I moved to Texas, my two cats decided to play with a scorpion in the middle of the night. When I managed to figure out what they were doing (it looked like they were hunting a big spider at first), I managed to get the scorpion away from them and back outside. But when I talked to my vet about it to see what the dangers were, I found out that the local scorpions are pretty much equivalent to bee stings. Unless the pet has an allergic reaction, it will hurt, but clears up in a day or two.

On the other hand, there are spots with scorpions that can kill you in a very short time. So I'd be talking to the vet to see what the local situation is.
